Hi, I'm P French

Has anyone been there chemo therapy, multiple surgeries, radiation and Herceptin for Stage 2 breast cancer Her2+, and taking Tamoxifen. If you have been thru all of this, did you get Breast cancer again in the same breast and experiencing the same side-effects as the first diagnosis? I am trying to find out if you can get breast cancer again in the same breast while being on Tamoxifen and in remission…Please help I have an appointment to find out if it is breast cancer again, I am just scared because I am in remission and I am taking Tamoxifen so I am confused if I do have breast cancer again in the same breast…after doing all of these steps…..

I had Her2+ in left breast but I had both breast removed because my doctor told me there is a very good chance of getting it again in the same one and or both. I said nope, once is enough for me so i had them both removed & no regrets….. think positive even if it is really bad…. that i s how you survive. I had chemo & RADIATION. I had Herception & Tamoxifen. I got my hair back & I am blessed.

Your cancer markers should be able to detect if you have cancer again. What did your doctor say?? I am on my 15th surgery in September, since June 2016. Always remember it can always get worse, but you are strong enough to fight it & you are blessed…. I am cancer free & enjoying life everyday because you never know…

Hi, I'm Pamela S W.

Just coming up on my one year since diagnosed stage 2b invasive DCIS only needed lumpectomy w/ 28 sessions radiation. Lymph nodes and all markers clear. Most days feels like nothing ever happened. Turned out to be triple negative though – worries me just a little. Gene testing was negative for BRCA. Most days great but others I’m sure it’ll be back.
