Natural estrogen blocking remedies

Hi, I'm LORI A F.

Has anyone tried natural remedies to block estrogen? My apologies if this topic has already been started, if so please point me to the discussion. I didn’t notice a search option.

Hi, I'm Susan

My Naturopath had me on one when I was first diagnosed. I’m sorry I can’t remember what it was called. I googled it but I didn’t recognize the name. I took it along with other supplements he prescribed. I’m now ten years out and believe the natural supplements helped me beat cancer. Best of luck to you!

Hi, I'm CONSTANCE G.

I’ve recently stared on estrogen blocking meds, but I have RA and my joints have been affected.

Hi, I'm Kay D.

I’ve been cancer-free for ten years. My breast cancer was hormone fed so I cannot take hormones to combat the severe hot flashes that I have 25-35 times a day. What other remedies have you found that actually work? I’ve tried several that don’t work well.

Hi, I'm Ruth R

I’ve been on hormone suppressant meds for almost 2 years now. My doctor recommended I be on them for 10 years instead of the normal 5 b/c my breast cancer was very aggressive. I also stay in a constant hot flash with mood swings that can almost make my head spin around! Lol! Personally, I don’t believe there is a remedy, natural or otherwise, except for the actual hormones which we cannot have. I carry a hand fan in my purse everywhere I go, don’t turn my thermostat up beyond 68 degrees (winter or summer), and am blessed to have family that doesn’t mind dressing in layers to keep warm so I don’t roast! I also sleep with 3 fans on me at night. There is actually a device you can buy that blows air into your bedsheets from the foot of the bed but was too awkward for me. Sorry, no remedies here but just a few suggestions to help manage it. Good luck, God bless and may you remain cancer free!! :-)

Hi, I'm Eileen F A.

Not a natural estrogen blocker but my doc put me on gabapentin as the side effect is to reduce hot flashes. It works for me thank heavens!

Hi, I'm LISA L B.

My hot flashes were more severe on Tamoxifen but my joint pain is just as bed or worse on Letrizole. I cannot say enough about acupuncture, CBD cream, and the TENS unit I bought at CVS. I am like a new person. I’m 47 and 2.5 years out from bilateral mastectomy, 5 months of chemo, and hysterectomy.

Hi, I'm Susan E S.

Cutting out sugar can help minimize joint pain in RA. It worked for me.
