Bladder Cancer and Keytruda
I just had my second dose of Keytruda for the treatment of Bladder Cancer. Has anyone had positive results with Keytruda for Bladder Cancer? Honestly, my mood is down. I was diagnosed in late August and had 2 resections of bladder operations. Then 6 doses of BCG. In my first scope post BCG, the cancer was back. I was really hoping I would be one of those patients that have BCG and it never comes back. I’m honestly at a low point. Hoping for positive examples.
My boyfriend is on 4th or 5th bcg with 4 surgery’s. I would love to hear how you do on Keytruda as a possible option for Blake to look into. So far it seems like the last round of bcg may have done the trick but imaging will not be done for a few more weeks.
I have had bladder cancer for almost three years. Keytruda is the third medication I have received and I have been on it for about four months. At my last scoping there were some per-cancer cells but no new tumors. It was only the second time when I have been scoped that there were not new tumors that needed to be removed. The scoping before I started keytruda I had two tumors that had to be surgically removed. Therefore I consider having pre-cancer cells but no new tumors progress. I have had some side effects from the keytruda but nothing that make me stop using it and those side effects give me hope that it is working on the tumors.
