Textcontent Foods to Help Fortify the Immune System

Scientists have found that the active culture of bacteria in yogurt, which is called Lactobacillus, actually helps to fortify the immune system. Studies have shown that the use of yogurt in the diet has triples the internal production of interferon which the immune system uses against tumor cells. Yogurt has also been shown to raise the level of natural killer cells. Yogurt has also been proven to slow down the growth of tumor cells in the GI tract and is able to improve the immune systems ability to destroy active tumor cells. Choose brands that state “contains live and active cultures” on the package. Avoid sweetened yogurt due to the high sugar content.

Garlic has been found to stimulate natural protection against tumor cells. It has been discovered that garlic is toxic to invading pathogens and tumor cells, however it is harmless to normal, healthy cells.

Carotenoids and bioflavonoids absorb dangerous particles. They have the potential to stimulate the immune system. There is some evidence that both of these may be toxic to tumor cells. Carotenoids can be found in green and orange fruits and vegetables. Bioflavonoids are found in citrus, whole grains, honey, and other plant foods.

Cruciferous Vegetables

Broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower all have an active ingredient called “indoles” which have been proven to be protective against cancer. These vegetables are able to increase the body’s production of important protective enzymes.

Also known as seed foods. These foods have a unique ability to envelop tumor cells and prevent their growth.

Apples, apricots, barley, citrus fruit, cranberries, fiber, figs, fish oil, fish, ginger, green tea, spinach, and seaweed have the ability to slow tumor growth in various ways.

Hi, I'm Clairebear

I have been juicing every day since I came home from hospital at the end of June 2013, I had four months of chemo August to December 2013, didn’t get any severe nausea or diarrhoea and not even a cold. I enlisted the help of a Naturapath who set up the juicing guidelines. Juice Organics raw vegetables and a little fruit, I juice the following everyday…
4-6 Carrots, a small to med beetroot, a thumb size piece of ginger, fresh tumeric root. Broccoli kale and whatever greens I can get a hold of. a whole lemon and an orange peeled. I was adding a couple of apples and pears in season. But now as am on a strict alkaline and cane sugar and red meat free diet. Cancer cells need sugar and an acid environment to grow and survive, so I am hopefully starving them of their nutrients! I am also fasting on the juice only for 24 hrs prior to my fortnightly chemo and for the two days I have a pump on at home… I just had my fifth round today of my second line of treatment, with still no adverse side effects at all. CEA is still reducing rapidly! I look and feel better than I have done for years!

Hi, I'm Clairebear

Re the fasting, the theory is that when you fast for a day (still on raw vege juice) the healthy cells and your immune system slow down and go into repair mode, cancer cells aren’t that clever and are just growing rapidly all the time given the opportunity. So whenyounhqce the chemo the treatment is more effective on the cancer cells and less effective on the healthy cells, thus reducing the side effects which effect primarily the stomach (nausea) the bowel (diarrhoea) hair loss, skin problems, infections etc! I can vouch for it! I personall look and feel better than I did five years ago.
I am 53 years young and have advanced stage IV colorectal cancer with multiple metastases in the liver and lymph nodes. Diagnosed as terminal and all Palliative care only available in the medical profession! even If I don’t manage to beat this cancer I will go out healthier than ever! Be positive it helps!!

Hi, I'm Jerry Gefner

The use of Tropical Fruits plus pure coconut juice has assisted me greatly for a stronger immune system.

These fruits are organic with origins from Brazil and Africa.

These fruits mix with Water Buffalo milk yogurt.

India has excellent research in Water Buffalo Milk and Tropical Fruits.

Hi, I'm JANIS H T.

I am wondering why the Immune System advice here doesn’t include fermented foods like unpasteurized sauerkraut and other fermented foods? They can be bought in health food shops for a pretty penny ($$$), but can be made at home quite cheaply, taking a few weeks. Fermented foods have been around for centuries all over the world, and are known to be really supportive of the immune system. Am I correct?
