Rituxan Hycela treatment

Hi, I'm Ricky H H.

After being on a Rituxan infusion treatment for the past 2 years my Doctor is suggesting going to a Rituxan Hycela treatment which is an injection. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and what I can expect good or bad if I go this route.

Hi, I'm Ricky H H.

The Rituxan infusion is a maintenance treatment for Mantle Cell Lymphoma. I have to have an infusion treatment that takes about 7 hours. If I go with this Rituxan Hycela injection I will only need to be at the Cancer treatment center for about 1 hour. While the reduction in treatment time is great I was wondering if I can expect any different side effects. The only problem I have with the current treatment is not sleeping the night after treatment.

Hi, I'm Betti

Thanks for answering my question. Do they give you steroids as part of your infusion as those can sometimes cause insomnia? I know a gal who steroids would “wire” her up so her and her girlfriends would have a girls’ night out on her infusion nights.
