Neuropathy

Hi, I'm Lynnett T.
Hi. I’m almost to the end of my second phase of chemo. (Taxol) I seem to be having more issues with this phase then with the AC. I started getting neuropathy about 3-4 weeks ago. But it was mild. Then about a 1 1/2 weeks ago it hit hard. My nails have git these rust-red patches and barcodes under them. Both finger and toe nails have a yellow cast to them and ouch the pain. All the time ache and intensifies if trying to use my hand. Can hardly open drawers or jars. Touching or push/pulling on things is intense. We postponed treatment this week and Dr put me on some vitamins and supplements to hopefully help with this side effect. But it seems to be moving down my digits farther. Does anyone have any feedback on this side effect. Can you give me any timelines of reversal. Or hope for a good out come? I don’t want to stop treatment but I can imagine this side effect this being lifelong.

Hi, I'm Ladyhawk

I just had my second taxol treatment today. I had decided to ice my feet and hands to hopefully eliminate or lessen neuropathy and nail issues. I ordered cryomax ice packs on Amazon. They stay frozen for about 5-6 hours, unlike other ice packs. I take them in a cooler.
I’ll update when I get into more treatments. Hope this info helps.

Hi, I'm etman

Eight years ago, after I used oxaliplatin and zeloda as a chemotherapy treatment, and I had a colon polyp removal … I feel pain in the feet and hands. With numbness in the extremities, use now (lyreka tab. It is the pregabalin active ingredient.) And also vitamins tablets (B6, B12 and other vitamins) But without improvement …. Do I have any directives for you to reduce pain and numbness …. Thank you

Hi, I'm Betti

7 years ago when I had my TC regimen a chemo buddy told me about vitamin B-6 and Glutamine for any neuropathy that her Onc. recommended. I bought small amounts of both but never had to use it.
