5FU + Camptosar for the treatment of Stomach Cancer

5FU + Camptosar (Irinotecan) is a chemotherapy regimen used in the treatment of stomach cancer. This treatment involves two chemotherapy drugs: camptosar and fluorouracil, which is also known as 5FU

Chemotherapy is often given as a combination of drugs. Combinations usually work better than single drugs because different drugs kill cancer cells in different ways.


  • Nausea & Vomiting

  • Risk of Infection

  • Diarrhea

  • Mouth Sores

Hi, I'm Al bevvino

chemo treatment side effects included nausea and cold neurothy. I have been taking folfox for 5 years for small bowel cancer. it usually takes 5-6 days after chemo to start feeling better. I was given meds for the nausea issues
